Rhythm & Movement
Without movement, there is no rhythm
"There are no such things as rhythm problems - it's all a matter of right practice",
one of my most important gurus kept telling me, and he went on to teach me the mathematics
of Indian rhythm theory.
"Rhythm and movement" is perfect for people with "rhythmic difficulties". You can
learn the simplicity of rhythms and percussion by walking, clapping and talking
the fundamental rhythm patterns - and all of this is achieved in easy, playful steps
and with plenty of humor.
Rhythm, music and movement encourage a holistic coming together of body, spirit
and soul in a very playful way. "Rhythm and movement" has developed over decades
and has become an integral part of general and special education. Recently it has
been added to the curriculum at jazz schools and conservatories. In addition, it
is an excellent preparation for music and percussion lessons.
"Rhythm and movement" is the fastest approach to understanding rhythms and it immediately
gets you to apply and practice them in different contexts. This great approach directly
works with the body to guarantee the systematic development of rhythm experiences.
The "technique of dancing" is the ideal theoretical and practical basis for a deeper
understanding and effective practice of music and rhythms.
